carved soldiers

The front ranks of the army, more commonly known as the Soldiers of Xi’ An, face the untold number of Chinese and foreign visitors to view this amazing work of art. All are life-size and were found in millions of pieces. They were lovingly pieced together with a specially developed glue with no sign of the breakage. Thousands have been pieced togeher and perhaps thousands more are being worked on today.
