Paraty’s “Stations of the Cross” is open on special occasions. By day, the colorful stations are hidden behind shutters. Despite being a popular tourist destination, Paraty is also a real town with many religious celebrations. We were there on Good Friday and the town was filled with a parade of lanterns, singing candles and religious ceremonies.
