Hi! I’m Heide Brandes, a writer and journalist in Oklahoma City, OK. I love writing just about any kind of story, but I specialize in business, aerospace, agriculture, travel, health and human interest stories. I am a journalist with more than 15 years experience, and after spending 12 of those years as an award-winning writer and editor in newspaper, I branched out into the wild and fun world of magazine writing and full time freelance writing. My work has been featured in such magazines as OKC Biz, The Oklahoma Journal Record, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Outdoor x 4, GoNomad, Pink Pangea, The Washington Post, TrailGroove Magazine, Destinations Travel Magazine, Neighbors (the international magazine of the global non-profit World Neighbors), ION Oklahoma and more!
