Ava Kabouchy

While teaching at women’s universities in Saudi Arabia for four years, my interest in photography grew with each visit into the Arabian desert – the colorss, landscapes, light, all of it, and photography became my passion. Upon leaving the Kingdom, I went directly to France to study French language and culture and during that time, Go Nomad Magazine published my first article on Saudi Arabia’s remarkable beauty. In addition, I wrote and published two books on my experience in Saudi Arabia, one a book for young readers and the other about my four years there. After that first article, I continued to write and photograpah on hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, France, and Portugal; on France for France Revisited Magazine; numerous other magazines as well, including a print magazine, Guideposts.
