Kick Field Goals and Sing Your College Fight Song on a Road Trip Pit Stop in Atlanta

While the global pandemic may have slowed international travel, Americans willingness to jump in the car and take on the time-honored tradition of a road trip, is higher than ever before. In fact, researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago Translab conducted a survey regarding sentiments towards travel after the pandemic subsides. The researchers found after surveying more than 1,000 people in the Chicago area that most people said they won’t feel comfortable on planes, and 27 percent anticipated taking more long-distance trips by car.

Located in the heart of Atlanta’s sports, tourism and entertainment districts, the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame is steps away from the iconic Centennial Olympic Park and surrounded by other attractions including the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, and much more.

Here in Atlanta, we are no strangers to pit stops. Whether you are headed from the Midwest to Florida for your annual beach trip or you’re a Floridian headed north to escape the Sunshine State’s summer heat, Atlanta has something for everyone to stop and see while road tripping. Inclusive for all college football fans and families, The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame is the place to stop for a few hours of unforgettable fun.

Located in the heart of Atlanta’s sports, entertainment, and tourism district and adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park, the Hall provides visitors with a highly immersive, interactive, and engaging experience using a blend of historic college football artifacts and state-of-the-art, interactive multimedia exhibits.

On The Indoor Playing Field, kick a field goal, throw like a QB, and take on our obstacle course.

When visiting the Hall, your first and most important stop is the registration station in the Quad where you choose which school you would go to war for and receive a fully interactive, 100% customized All-Access Pass. Fans with an All-Access Pass can walk by any of the state-of-the-art, RFID enabled exhibits and see content customized to their favorite team. All experiences are recorded and saved with the ability to access and download every interactive takeaway from your visit.

You will then need to quickly look up as the Hall’s 3 story Helmet Wall displaying nearly 800 college football teams greets you. Guests are able to light their team’s helmet upon entry and each year the Hall makes more than 50 helmet updates including logo changes and new additions of college football programs.

If you are looking to burn off a few calories from all your fast-food stops on your road trip, then break a sweat on the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Skill Zone where you can run, kick, and pass on the indoor 45-yard Playing Field complete with a regulation size field goal. Also, check out the Air Force Air Raid QB Sim and Kia Performance Challenge exhibits which are sure to get your heart rate pumping with vertical jump and 40-yard dash tests.

Throughout the museum, you can learn everything there is to know about some of the oldest and biggest rivalries in the game and can also see historical programs, uniforms, game tickets, trophies and artifacts that are guaranteed to create feelings of nostalgia and appreciation for college football.

In the Coca-Cola Fans’ Game Day gallery, visitors get hands-on with the revelry
of tailgating, mascots, cheerleaders and storied traditions passed down through generations.

For the health and safety of team members and guests, the Hall has established protocols in accordance with state and CDC guidelines including rigorous cleaning procedures, temperature checks for staff and guests, masks, and additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the experience.
